Pismo Beach

Pismo Beach, in San Luis Obispo County

If you read our earlier post on The World Of Pinot Noir, then you know we were in the San Luis Obispo area last month.  During our trip, we spent a few days visiting and revisiting the wineries and restaurants in the area.

Now we’ve summarized our favorite wineries and food stops for the southern San Luis Obispo County area and added the reference page to the website.  If you look at the navigation bar towards the top of the screen, and click on “Favorites by Wine Region” and scroll down to “Favorites in San Luis Obispo County,” then you can just follow the drop-down menu to our page on “Favorites in Edna Valley, Arroyo Grande Valley, and the City of San Luis Obispo.”  Or, you can take the easy way out and *Just Click Here*.

On our Favorites page, you will read about how much we like Chamisal VineyardsEdna Valley Vineyard,  Kynsi WineryPiedra Creek Winery,  Salisbury VineyardsStephen Ross Wine CellarsTalley Vineyards, and the wineries that are part of the Niven Family Wine Estates.

In the city of San Luis Obispo, we highly recommend you check out Big Sky Cafe,  Buona Tavola,  Firestone Grill,  High Street Deli, and Linnaea’s Café for some great food and coffee.  South of the city, we feel that Old West Cinnamon Rolls in Pismo Beach and Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab in Arroyo Grande are worth seeking out.

  1. I work at Old West Cinnamon rolls. I was reading your story about us and saw that you have the wrong phone number at the bottom of the article. The correct # is 805-773-1428. Thanks for the great write-up.
