If you’re going to be in or near San Francisco on Wednesday, April 10, there is a very good reason to leave work early: over two dozen wineries from the Mount Veeder Appellation in Napa Valley are coming to town. The Mount Veeder Appellation Spring Wine Tasting is a great opportunity to taste outstanding mountain wines at the Presidio Golden Gate Club (135 Fisher Loop, San Francisco). You don’t want to miss this occasion, one of the very few times a year where you can collectively taste Mount Veeder wines all in one place, many of which are hard to find. Consumers are invited to enjoy these world-class wines between 4:30 and 6:30 pm for $55 per person, just two weeks from now on the 10th.

Here are just a few of the Mount Veeder Appellation wineries participating: Fontanella Family Winery, The Hess Collection, Lagier Meredith, Marketta Winery, Mayacamas Vineyards, Mount Veeder Winery, Robert Craig Winery, Rubissow Wines, Rudd Winery, Spotted Owl Vineyards, VGS Chateau Potelle, Vinoce Vineyards, and Y Rousseau Wines.
Consumer Tickets for this event are $55 per person in advance and can be purchased here. If you need to purchase tickets at the door, you can, but the onsite ticket price increases to $75 so you should really just buy your tickets now. Admission to the Spring Wine Tasting includes Mount Veeder wines and food pairings from Winery Chefs with assorted artisan cheeses, charcuterie, seasonal fruit, nuts, olives and Bouchon breads.
West of Napa and Yountville, Mount Veeder is a one-of-a-kind appellation which has been producing richly intense, age-worthy wines since the 1860’s. The wines from Mount Veeder reflect the independent spirit of its mountain growers and vintners, borne of rugged conditions that demand handcraftsmanship at the highest level.

Earlier on April 10th, the Mount Veeder Appellation Council is also hosting trade and media representatives with a preview tasting between 2:00 and 4:00 pm.
