Celebrity Chef Michael Tusk (Chef and Owner of Quince and Cotogna) is returning as the Event Host, leading the culinary charge of over 60 restaurants, wineries and breweries between 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm on Thursday, March 24 at City View at Metreon (135 Fourth Street, San Francisco). A General Admission ticket is $150 per person and offers you 2 ½ hours to enjoy dishes from restaurants (ranging from Boulevard and Jardinière to Souvla and The Ramen Bar), award-winning wines (from wineries such as HALL Wines and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars), hand-crafted cocktails, and a live auction with items including fine dining experiences for you (and/or your friends) to bid on.

Or, you could show some extra support by purchasing a VIP ticket for Taste of the Nation SF for $250 which gives you early access into the event at 5:30 pm (so you have an extra hour of access to chefs, wine and spirits as well as more time to preview the auction items and plan your bidding strategy). VIPs also receive complimentary VIP Valet Parking, an exclusive VIP gift bag, and the satisfaction of contributing even more money to Share Our Strength’s efforts to feed more kids.

So call your friends and then come enjoy some of San Francisco’s finest tastes paired with the wine, beer, or cocktail of your choice. But, don’t forget to go here soon and purchase your tickets first (before the event sells out). If you move quickly (by February 29) you can get 20% off of the General Admission price with the promo code “SFLEAPYR2016”!

No Kid Hungry SF LogoAs a reminder, please go here for complete details and to buy your ticket, so you can enjoy a fantastic evening and help support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign. The No Kid Hungry campaign is ending childhood hunger in this nation by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need. In California, the project is focused on expanding access to school breakfast and afterschool meals. Currently, 23% of the children in California live in poverty, and only 49% of kids who qualify for free lunches also get breakfast.

Local beneficiaries of the 2016 San Francisco Taste of the Nation event include 18 Reasons, California Association of Food Banks, California Food Policy Advocates and Children of Shelters. With support from generous individuals, corporations and foundations, Share Our Strength can ensure all children get the healthy food they need, every day.

And, just so you know, if you aren’t able to attend this year’s San Francisco Taste of the Nation event, you can still support the cause by going here to make a welcomed donation.
