Family Reunion Time for the Pinots

Benovia

Benovia, one of the wineries at the 2012 Pinot Family Reunion

Next Sunday, the 8th Annual Pinot Family Reunion Tasting and Dinner takes place in Santa Rosa with proceeds benefiting the Sutter North Bay Women’s Health Center.  Everyone knows that Sonoma County wineries produce some phenomenal Pinot Noirs but this event focuses on the entire Pinot family (think Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, etc.).  That makes it a Family Reunion!

In Two Parts!

On July 22 between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. there will be a wine and food tasting at the Vintners Inn Event Center in Santa Rosa, and then at 5:00 p.m. a family style dinner at John Ash & Co will begin.  Over 40 wineries will be participating including some of the region’s top pinot producers.  John Ash & Co. was the first Sonoma County restaurant to introduce the concept of cooking seasonally with fresh, local foods and produce.  For complete details and to order tickets, please go here.

At the 2012 Pinot Family Reunion Tasting, John Ash & Co. Executive Chef Thomas Schmidt will be preparing some great appetizers for event participants to taste while they sip on exceptional wines and listen to live music.  In addition, there will be both silent and live auctions featuring items such as large format wines, verticals, overnight stays, and much more.

The Pinot Family Reunion Tasting will be followed by a Pinot Family Reunion Dinner on the terrace at John Ash & Co.  Starting at 5:00, dinner seating is limited for this family style dinner and reservations are required.

If you still haven’t decided, you should look closely at which wineries will be participating.  Some of the best pinot producers in Sonoma County will be at the Reunion including Benovia, Dutton-Goldfield, Hartford Family Winery, Holdredge Wines, Kokomo Winery, Kosta Browne Winery, La Crema Winery, Littorai, MacMurray Ranch, MacPhail Family Wines, Merry Edwards Winery, Siduri, and Twomey.  For the complete list of wineries or for more details on the event, please go here.

Tickets for the 2012 Pinot Family Reunion are $50 per person in advance for the Wine and Food Tasting in the afternoon, $60 per person at the door.  Tickets for both the Pinot Family Reunion Tasting and Dinner are $120 per person.

Please go here to purchase tickets and help support the Sutter North Bay Women’s Health Center.  Services at the WHC are designed to supplement and support local physicians by providing select diagnostic services, health education, consultation, and wellness and prevention programs that address women’s unique health care needs.  To learn more about the center, go here.
