Have you heard about Moving Mountains: The 2012 Howell Mountain Harvest Celebration?  It’s an Appellation-based wine tasting event coming to the heart of Yountville.  The Celebration should be an enormously fun event, and if you missed the Taste of Howell Mountain Wine Tasting and Auction back in June, this is your chance to make up for it.

You can experience the “pinnacle” of wines from Howell Mountain at the appellation’s Harvest Celebration on Saturday, November 3rd between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.  The Howell Mountain Harvest Celebration will be at V Wine Cellar in Yountville, at 6525 Washington Street.  On the day of the event tickets will be $75 per person but if you buy your tickets in advance the price is only $55.  So, go here to learn more about the event and to purchase your tickets.

Admission to the Harvest Celebration includes wines from 18 different wineries including Blue Hall Vineyard, Bravante Vineyards, Bremer Family Winery, CADE, Cakebread Cellars, Charles Krug Winery, Cimarossa, Cornerstone Cellars, Dunn Vineyards, Howell at the Moon, John Robert Eppler Wines, Notre Vin, Outpost Wines, Pestoni Family/Rutherford Grove, Red Cap Vineyards, Retro Cellars, Robert Craig Winery, and SPENCE.

The Howell Mountain Harvest Celebration offers you a chance to taste and purchase all kinds of wines made from Howell Mountain grapes without having to drive all over the mountain.  Several of these wines are hard to find, and many of the wineries are not normally open to the public, so don’t miss out on this opportunity.

Celebration attendees will also have a range of small bites and nibbles to compliment the wines.  The Howell Mountain Harvest Celebration will feature tastes from Winery Chefs, including artisan cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, nuts, olives, and breads.  Winery Chefs is a local catering company that prepared fantastic food offerings at the Howell Mountain Wine Tasting and Auction.

Go here to see which wines we enjoyed the most at the Taste of Howell Mountain Wine Tasting and Auction in June (some of which may also be poured at the Harvest Celebration).  Or, for lists of our favorite wineries and food destinations throughout Napa Valley, please use the drop-down menus on the navigation bar above under “Favorites by Wine Region” and look for the area that interests you.
