One of the best international-in-scope Food and Wine events is coming to San Francisco soon.  On Wednesday, October 17, the 9th Wine & Spirits Top 100 Tasting Event unfolds at City View at METREON between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

The Top 100 Tasting Event honors those wineries from around the world that delivered the best overall performance in Wine & Spirits Tastings throughout the year.  So come try excellent wines from California, Oregon, and Washington, as well as Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Since its inception, the event has been produced in San Francisco with Bay Area chefs and local artisanal purveyors serving selections to complement the bottlings of the honored wineries.   Tickets for the Top 100 Tasting Event are available for $105 per person.  Or, VIP Early Admission Tickets (allowing you to enter at 6:00 p.m.) are available for $125 per person.   To purchase tickets or to see the complete list of wineries being honored, please go here.

In addition to the wines, there will also be several local restaurants at the Wine & Spirits Top 100 Tasting Event.  Come and savor small plates from establishments such as Burritt Room + Tavern, Dixie, Local’s Corner, Maven, Redd Wood, and St. Vincent.  In addition to these restaurants, other food purveyors will include Boccalone, Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company, Hog Island Oyster Company, Socola Chocolatier, TCHO, and Barefoot Coffee.

Wine & Spirits Top 100Founded in 1989, the mission of San Francisco Baykeeper is to protect and enhance the water quality of the San Francisco Bay for the benefit of its ecosystems and human communities.  They are one of twelve members of the California Coastkeeper Alliance, a non-profit organization that coordinates, supports and enhances the work of local California Waterkeepers in order to ensure Californians enjoy clean water and a healthy coast.  The Wine & Spirits Top 100 Tasting Event raises money and awareness for groups that work to protect water resources, and a portion of ticket prices will be donated to San Francisco Baykeeper.
