Mother's DayDo you need to take Mom out for a special Mother’s Day Brunch on May 11 but aren’t sure where to go?  If so, we’ll tell you what is going on at some of the best restaurants in Napa Valley.   Many of them offer a Mother’s Day Brunch to help celebrate the special occasion and a few places that aren’t even normally open for brunch are making an exception for Mom.

Buffet Brunch for Mother’s Day in Napa Valley

If you are looking for a Buffet-style Brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day 2014 in Napa Valley, three options come to mind:

Oysters

Oysters, a great start to a Mother’s Day Brunch

Brix has a Sunday Buffet Brunch between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm for $42.50 for adults and $18.50 for children ages 7-13.  Buffet items include Artisan Cheeses, Mixed Beet Salad, Oysters, House-Smoked Salmon, Eggs Benedict, Sourdough Pancakes, Seasonal Garden Vegetable Pizza, Garlic-Rubbed Tri-Tip, Chocolate Cupcakes, and Seasonal Fruit Crisp.  You can see the full menu here 7377 St. Helena Highway (Highway 29), Napa  (707) 944-2749

Siena (at Meritage Resort and Spa) is offering a Mother’s Day Brunch from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm for $54.95 per person, $15 for children 12 and under.  Buffet items include Fresh Fruit, Jumbo Shrimp, Crab Claws, Tomales Bay Oysters, Smoked Trout and Salmon, an Omelet Station, Mascarpone Cheese Blintzes with Warm Strawberry Compote, Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef, Rosemary-Garlic Roasted Leg of Lamb, and a Deluxe Selection of Designer Cakes and Pastries.  You can see the full menu here.    875 Bordeaux Way, Napa  (707) 251-1950

Meritage First Blush Image(FYI, the Meritage Resort and Spa is also hosting their Annual “First Blush” Rosé Celebration that weekend on Saturday, May 10 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. This event will feature over 40 lighter wines from throughout California, including Sparkling Wines, Rosés, Sauvignon Blancs, Rieslings, and Pinot Noirs, as well as Beers from Napa Smith Brewery.  Part of the proceeds will benefit the Queen of the Valley Hospital’s Cancer Center and their Breast Cancer awareness activities.  Tickets are $30 per person, although if you purchase tickets in advance for both the First Blush Celebration and Siena’s Mother’s Day Brunch the discounted combination ticket is $74 per person.)

Silverado Resort and Spa will hold a special Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch in their Ballroom between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm for $60 for adults and $25 for children ages 9 and under.   Buffet items include Local Artisan Cheese, a Charcuterie Selection, Crab Cocktails, Hobb’s Bacon and Chicken Apple Sausage, Farm Egg Benedict, Brioche French Toast, Roasted Salmon, Prime Rib, and a Mother’s Day Sweet Treat Buffet.  The complete menu of options can be found here.  1600 Atlas Peak Road, Napa  (707) 257-5431

 

Family-Style Brunch for Mother’s Day in Napa Valley

Prix Fixe Brunch Menus for Mother’s Day in Napa Valley

Auberge du Soleil

Auberge du Soleil

Auberge du Soleil is offering three courses between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm, with 2-6 choices per course, at $95 per guest and $35 for children under the age of 12. Hurley’s is offering a three-course prix fixe menu with 3-5 choices per course for $55 (including one glass of your choice of Domaine Chandon Blanc de Noirs, Mimosa, Fresh Squeezed Juice, or Soda) between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.  Your options include a Fresh Fruit Bowl with Honey Yogurt, Squash Blossom Fritters Stuffed with Herbed Goat Cheese, Salmon and Grilled Prawn Salad, Wild Mushroom Omelette, Stuffed Brioche French Toast, and Strawberry Shortcake.   Hurley’s will also offer an À La Carte menu and a Kids Menu.  The menus haven’t been posted to their website yet, but you can see a sneak preview of them here.   6518 Washington Street, Yountville  (707) 944-2345

 

La Toque

La Toque rarely serves Brunch, but they will on Mother’s Day

La Toque (at the Westin Verasa) is offering a three-course menu with 3-5 choices per course for $65 per person, or $48 per person for guests under the age of 21 between noon and 2:00 pm.  Brunch includes an Aperitif choice of a Mimosa, Bellini, Bloody Mary, or Prosecco.  The Mother’s Day Menu hasn’t been finalized yet, but their Easter Brunch menu included Burrata Cheese with Beets and Green Strawberries, Chilled Dutch White Asparagus with Sauce Verte, Dungeness Crab Croquette with Meyer Lemon and Fried Capers, Lobster Omelet, Grilled Portabello Mushroom “Short Stack” with Sauce Béarnaise, and a Milk Chocolate Crème Brulée.  Once the Mother’s Day menu is ready, you should be able to find it here1314 McKinstry Streeet, Napa  (707) 257-5157
