Each year in May, the Alexander Valley Winegrowers Association hosts the Taste of Alexander Valley. During this weekend event, over 30 wineries offer wine and food pairings and special weekend wine discounts. Some wineries go all out with a theme party and/or live entertainment, while some are more subdued. Either way, it’s a great opportunity to go wine tasting, have some great food, and try some wineries that may not be usually open to the public.
Tickets are available for either the entire weekend, or Sunday only. Discounted tickets are also available for designated drivers for either the entire weekend, or Sunday only.
This is a fun, low-key affair where the wineries aren’t too far from each other, and the weather usually cooperates. Based on our experiences, these are the top ten wineries you should try to make sure and visit if you attend:
